My Story
Hi, I’m Kali!
I’m a San Diego native who loves to travel, see the world, learn about culture and history, and explore. I am a creative artist who loves photography, writing and art.
I studied Business Marketing at Cal Poly SLO with minors in graphic communications and photography, and I’ve worked in the SEO and advertising industry for over 11 years.
A New Beginning
After college and getting laid off from my first ad agency job, I took some time to explore and get to know myself. My old life crumbled, and I was synchronistically guided to the yoga scene and yoga teacher training. I got hired at CorePower Yoga before they were the corporate studio they are now! I loved leading the Ayurvedic Wellness Cleanse program, coaching bootcamps, teaching teacher training and mentoring students — and I went down a rabbit hole studying philosophies, astrology, numerology and more, all while teaching and exploring the world.
My yoga background has taught me to cultivate more peace, beauty and mindfulness daily. It also led me to study Jung psychology and get certified in Mythology from Pacifica University. I’m also an NLP neurolinguistics practitioner, fascinated by topics relating to humans, consciousness and evolution.

How the Wanderlust Began
I fell in love with traveling on my first trip abroad, to the Athens 2004 Olympics. Since then I have been inspired to wander the world with my camera every chance I get. I studied abroad on the Gold Coast of Australia, where I studied photojournalism, and in college I worked as a photographer for a nonprofit organization, documenting our cause in Peru and Panama.
My first international solo adventure was through Italy — I flew into Milan and took the train down to Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre and Rome. In 2011 I joined a National Geographic cruise on the Baltic Sea with my Dad, which changed my life and continued to propel my love for travel and exploring the world.
